Swedish furniture and home goods retailer IKEA is being praised for defending a Muslim employee after a racist online customer’s review of its store in Aubonne, Switzerland, Daily Sabah reported.

I will never step into this store again,” the review said.In response, the store wrote: “Our company has clear values: respect for everyone, regardless of their origin, sexual orientation or religion. Before judging a person based on their appearance, you must get to know them.””We don’t feel bad that someone who thinks in this manner is not going to return to our store,” it added.
Online users rushed to the store’s defence, commending its stance and giving it five stars.
While others linked the hijab wearing cashier to famous and powerful members of society who would no doubt have been welcomed by the reviewer in spite of their attire.
