FBI swat team raids Jake Paul’s LA mansion

Federal agents conducted a raid on the Los Angeles-area mansion of YouTube star Jake Paul. The notorious 23-year-old influencer gained his fame from prank videos on Vine and YouTube, and has over 20 million followers.

Paul is facing criminal trespass charges after being seen out of Arizona mall while he was looting. The police report stated that ”it received hundreds of tips and videos identifying Jake Paul as a participant in the riot.”

The search comes few weeks after Paul sparked another scandal, throwing a day-long house parties during the global pandemic. Los Angeles is one of the cities hit hardest by Covid-19 with thousands of new cases per day. However, Jake told on his social media: ”I’m not the type of person who’s gonna sit around and not live my life.”

The officials did not say the reason of the search, stating that it was related to an investigation.

“The FBI is executing a federal search warrant at a residence in Calabasas in connection with an ongoing investigation,” an FBI representative said in a statement.

Authorities were seen seizing several firearms, including a long gun propped up against a hot tub in the back yard, from Paul’s property in Calabasas early Wednesday. There were at least 20 agents taking part in the search.

Though nature of the investigation is unclear, no arrests are planned so far.

According to his lawyer, Jake Paul was not at home at the time of the raid.

The YouTube star is currently in Las Vegas, preparing for his boxing match.
