Jordan’s Local Administration Ministry takes precautions to combat virus spread

The Ministry of Local Administration, on Sunday, has issued a circular to municipalities and joint services councils on the necessity of taking precautionary measures to curb the spread of the pandemic coronavirus.

The circular came as part of the ministry’s series of measures to prevent and limit the spread of the virus, in order to preserve the health of citizens, employees and workers.

Among these measures is to focus on public cleanliness campaigns and to provide hand sanitizer at the municipalities’ entrances.

The Ministry called on restaurants’, shops’, and malls’ owners to provide sterilization materials and all means of public safety, directing health monitors to intensify their health control campaigns.

The ministry stressed the importance of constant communication and cooperation between the municipalities and health directorates in terms of health precautions against the novel coronavirus.
